Origin, Legend & Myth

Let's go back in time to uncover the origins and traditions of practitioners of magic, whom in our modern vernacular are witches, sorcerers, or wizards. We will first learn about the different magic practitioners in cultures through the ages. In the second part, we will examine what magic is, its etymology, the different types of magic

A witch can be a healer, a sorcerer, a neighbor, a rebel, a priestess, a fraud, a friend or a murderer. Few figures in mythology and folklore can carry such weight. Tales of witches have accumulated in almost all cultures in oral traditions, fairytales, village gossip, accusations ...

The night is their domain. Vampires hunt their prey in the streets, luring their victims with their charismatic charm and chiseled good-looks. But once "permission" is granted and the door is open, all bets are off.

History is full of details that feel true because they are neat, dramatic, and easy to picture: Cavemen oafishly talking by grunting like apes. Medieval people cowering at the edge of a flat Earth. George Washington never telling a fib. Einstein failing math in school.

Have you ever wondered which mythical monster you most relate to? Whether you feel a connection to the snarling wolf, the charismatically cool vampire, or the wistful mermaid, mythical beasts have long captured human imagination.

Legends are stories rooted in historical events or figures but often exaggerated over time... Myths are stories that explain the origins of the world, natural phenomena, gods, and human behavior... Folklore includes a broad range of traditional stories, customs, and beliefs shared by a community.
